Voters
Who may vote
Citizens resident in the Irad Special Economic Zone may vote from the age of 18. Each voter votes once, at the polling station of the address on the register.
The registers
The voter registers are compiled from the residence records of the city and district administrations and of the Passport and Residence Service of the Ministry of Internal Security. If you have moved, register your new address with the Passport and Residence Service first (form PRS-3, on e-Irad).
Am I on the register?
You can inspect the register at your city or district administration, with your passport, during the annual revision from 1 March 2027 and again from 1 October 2027. An online check on e-Irad is in preparation.
On polling day
- Go to your polling station between 7:00 and 20:00 Irad Time. Addresses are published from 1 October 2027.
- Show your passport to the polling station commission and sign the register.
- You receive three ballot papers: Governor and Lieutenant Governor, the Territorial Legislature and, in Talas, Nurzhan and Iyık Janyl, the city council.
- Mark each ballot in the booth and place it in the ballot box.
Voting takes place only at polling stations in the Irad Special Economic Zone. There is no postal voting and no voting abroad.
